Today\u2019s buyer is smarter, more inquisitive, and more demanding; retailers are being held to increasingly higher standards regarding top-down business transparency and ethical practices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This movement doesn\u2019t seem to be a fleeting flash in the pan either. Company ethics <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.morganstanley.com\/ideas\/ethical-retailing-consumers-survey\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has been cited<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as the consumer concern that has grown most in prominence this past decade. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/annaschaverien\/2018\/12\/12\/consumers-do-care-about-retailers-ethics-and-brand-purpose-accenture-research-finds\/#8f960916f21a\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Millennials in particular<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have expressed genuine concern for what goes on behind the scenes of their favorite brands.
